The Hummer H3 is ideal for off-road driving. "Off-road, where gradual and precise throttle response is usually far more important than power (particularly when a low crawl ratio is included), the H3 is just right," says Car and Driver. Unfortunately, it isn't a great performer on the highway (especially with the base engine) and its fuel economy is the lowest in its class.
Safety.
The 2010 Hummer H3 receives good scores in most crash tests conducted by the federal government. The 2009 model, however, didn't fare as well in insurance industry tests. There are also significant rear visibility issues with the H3.
