Hummer review by carz

today we do a review of the hummer franchise, this vehicles have been made popular by local celebrities and politicians including footballer "macdonald mariga",politicians lke mike "sonkoh" mbuvi, stanley livondo, kabogo and even the right honourable prime minister Raila Odinga. The H3 boasts great off-road capability in a distinctive, rugged package. However, it costs a lot more than similar SUVs, offers only mediocre highway performance, and has the worst fuel economy in its class. With a base price that's over $33,000, the H3 is one of the most expensive SUVs in its class -- even when compared to other off-road SUVs. Even worse, its poor 14/18 mpg fuel economy rating is the lowest in its class. While these factors may make the H3 seem like a lousy value, its excellent all-terrain capabilities and high ground clearance might make it worth it for real off-road enthusiasts. Still, if you can live without the Hummer's military-inspired styling, there are more affordable choices available. "For shoppers without true wanderlust, most other midsize SUVs make more sense," confirms Consumer Guide. Since the H3 is on its last legs, demand for the iconic SUV could increase. In this case, the sooner you get to the dealership, the better. The H3 is available in several trims -- the base model (available in base, Adventure and Luxury trims), the H3x, and the performance-minded Alpha. Perfomance. The Hummer H3 is ideal for off-road driving. "Off-road, where gradual and precise throttle response is usually far more important than power (particularly when a low crawl ratio is included), the H3 is just right," says Car and Driver. Unfortunately, it isn't a great performer on the highway (especially with the base engine) and its fuel economy is the lowest in its class. Safety. The 2010 Hummer H3 receives good scores in most crash tests conducted by the federal government. The 2009 model, however, didn't fare as well in insurance industry tests. There are also significant rear visibility issues with the H3.
